A FREE community event Be part of the biggest and best party night in Mildura Attracting crowds of more than 10,000, the opening night of the Festival is one big party starting at 6pm with the Sunraysia Daily Mardi Gras Parade and continuing into a night with the River Party at Nowingi Place Over 50 floats will travel along seventh street into Cureton Ave and down past the Mildura Bowling Club and Jaycee Park into Hugh King Drive. Weaving it’s way past the Mildura Rowing Club the Parade will head down to Nowingi Place for a night of celebration at the River Party. Get your community group or business together to create a float that reflects the 2012 theme, International Year of the Farmer and join in the fun as the Festival present’s the region’s biggest free community event once again.
